HELEN FOSTER

Helen Foster is the principal and lead strategist at Foster Strategy, LLC, a nationally recognized real estate development consultancy specializing in multi-generational and "age qualified" (55+) communities. With over 25 years of experience working with industry-leading builders and developers, Helen offers best practice insights and perspectives to help clients build successful communities that resonate with buyers and provide exceptional residential experiences.

Based in New Orleans, Helen has contributed as a speaker, judge, advisor, and editorial contributor to various industry organizations such as the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC), National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), and the National Multifamily Housing Conference (NMHC). She currently chairs ULI's Lifestyle Residential Development Council (LRDC 55+) and serves as Vice President of the Board of Willow Valley Communities. Additionally, Helen has been honored as one of the Top 50 Executives by 50+ Builder.

Establishing Foster Strategy in 2008, Helen acts as the firm's principal and chief consultant. Prior to this, she co-managed the Boomer+ consumer division of the multinational marketing firm J. Walter Thompson. Helen's approach to development is rooted in consumer insights and branding expertise gained over 20+ years in the real estate industry. She offers concept, marketing, and operations guidance to clients across the U.S., many of whom are considered leaders in their respective sectors.

Helen is also involved in the leadership of ULI's Lifestyle Residential Development Council (LRDC 55+). She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Willow Valley, the nation's most progressive continuing care retirement community in Lancaster, PA. Recently, she shared her expertise as a guest lecturer for the Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California (USC) and U.C. Berkeley's Fisher Panel for Real Estate and Urban Economics.
